Meet Mia Woolley, Our Owner
Meet Mia Woolley, Our Owner
I am Mia Woolley. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. I am very mild mannered, calm, and easy going. I attended and graduated Murray Bergtraum High School, and later on continued my education at Northampton Community College where I obtained my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. Since 1995, I have been happily married to a wonderful man. My husband and I are the proud parents of eleven beautiful children. In 2003, my husband and I decided to move our family from the hustle and bustle of the New York City streets to the Poconos of Pennsylvania. While the move made for some adjusting, we settled in just fine. Since our move, we have become successful in establishing multiple businesses.
I have always had an extreme love for children. At the tender age of 12, I started babysitting for the young mothers that lived in my area. My first job, at the age of 14, was through a program in New York called Summer Youth. They placed me in a daycare, and there is where I fell in love with caring for children. From that point, I knew I would be part of a foundation for the care of young children. I feel the greatest joy in watching young children learn new things about themselves, while they build self esteem.
In 2007, I opened a family home daycare. It was successful. In 2009, I decided to open a daycare facility. The daycare is DPW certified for up to 42 children and by the grace of God has been running successfully.
